Student AI Powered Fairytale Project
Students in Ms. Rachael Dantzler’s classroom have completed an innovative AI‑Powered Fairytale Project, blending classic storytelling with modern technology to reimagine how young authors create.
Throughout the project, students explored fairytale structure, character development, and thematic elements. But this year, they took the experience further by using age‑appropriate AI tools and classroom technology to help brainstorm characters, generate setting ideas, revise drafts, and bring vivid story details to life. Under guided instruction, students learned how to use AI as a partner in their creative process—supporting, not replacing, their original thinking.
Learners drafted their own fairytales, refined their writing through digital editing tools, and even used creative apps to illustrate scenes and design imaginative story worlds. The process allowed students to practice responsible technology use, strengthen writing skills, and see firsthand how AI can support creativity in thoughtful, meaningful ways.
The final collection of student fairytales showcases not only imaginative storytelling but also the students’ growing confidence in using modern tools to express themselves. The project demonstrates Ms. Dantzler’s commitment to preparing students for the future while keeping joy and creativity at the center of learning.
