Bitz Intermediate School was filled with warmth and holiday cheer as students, staff, and families came together to celebrate the season with festive Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. The event, held in the school’s cafeteria, brought the entire community together for a time of gratitude, joy, and connection.

The celebration kicked off with a traditional Thanksgiving feast, featuring turkey, stuffing, and all the classic sides. Families joined their children at decorated tables, sharing stories and laughter while enjoying a meal prepared with care by the cafeteria staff and the ROTC students from Lejeune High School. Teachers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure every detail reflected the spirit of thankfulness, creating an atmosphere that felt like home.

As December rolled in, the school transformed once again for a magical Christmas dinner. Bright lights and beautifully adorned tables set the stage for an afternoon of celebration. The event highlighted the importance of community and togetherness during the holiday season.

Dr. Whitfield expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from families and staff, noting that these gatherings strengthen the bonds between school and home. “It’s more than just a meal—it’s about creating memories and fostering a sense of belonging,” he said.

The holiday lunches at Bitz Intermediate were a true reflection of the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic growth but also the social and emotional well-being of its students. As the year comes to a close, the spirit of unity and celebration continues to shine brightly within the Bitz community.
